A Message from Mayor Ted R. Green

The Mayor's Office of Employment and Training (MOET) plays an important role in providing employment and training opportunities for all East Orange residents. Our mission is to connect residents with employers and apprenticeship programs, creating pathways to stable careers and economic advancement. This approach enables residents to acquire the skills and opportunities necessary to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
The East Orange Rising Builders Program offers free construction skills training to East Orange residents for both union and open-shop positions. Thanks to a partnership between The Crossings’ development team, Mayor Ted Green, and the Mayor’s Office of Employment and Training for providing eligible East Orange residents (ages 18 and older with a high school diploma or GED) with a comprehensive range of trade skills training options.
The Crossings has also developed the East Orange Career Accelerator program to provide soft skills training, resume preparation, and mock job interviews to East Orange Residents.
